Utica, NY is one hour and 15 minutes, Syracuse is two hours and Albany is 2hours and 45 minutes. Fourth Lake is the queen of the Fulton chain of lakes with about 14 miles of uninterrupted navigable waterway. Eagle Bay is in the South Western region of the Adirondack Mountains with surrounding peaks at an elevation to 2,500 feet.

......Eagle Bay and the surrounding communities are active 12 months of the year. In the summer months, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy water sports including sailing, fishing, wake boarding and simply cruising the beautiful shorelines and islands along the lakes and ponds. Eagle Bay is in the Adirondack Park, which consists of 9532 square miles. It offers endless hiking and camping destinations with an abundance of wildlife and nature in the purest of environments. During the winter months, this is a very popular snowmobiles haven. The villages and counties maintain a network of trails that are considered tops in the Northeast. There is both cross-country and down hill skiing with Mt McCauley 20 minutes away, just outside the village of Old Forge. Both Gore and Turin Mountains are about an hour away with White Face Mountain, outside of Lake Placid, about an hour and 45 minutes.
